FEATURED WORK

This illustration is one of a series that has appeared in Your Big Backyard, a wonderful nature magazine for children three to seven. The object here is to find a number of insects, animals or plants which appear in the picture. Some environments in the series have been more conducive to hiding things than others (rain forest, open grasslands) and some creatures less easily hidden (blue whale, carpenter ant), so the illustrations have all brought some artistic challenges. They've been enjoyable to draw and paint, and I hope fun for the magazine's young readers.
